1960 Bobbs-Merrill children's hardcover, reprints 1929 edition.
Here is one of a set of Mid Century reprints of the classic 1920's children's series by Johnny Gruelle, in a hardcover format with brilliant full-color prints and line illustrations. This is a vintage used item, in good used condition, with some signs of wear/age; there is rubbing/scuffing to coverboards, edgewear and associated corner wear, minor points of distress. Interior pages show clean, antique white with bold black print and sharp/clear full-color and B&W line illustrations, little wear/tanning. Spine remains straight/smooth, with visible shelfwear (top/base) and fading, while binding remains tight/secure and square-in-hand. Demarcation to front endpaper, with large rip (left edge near spine). The book measures approx 6.5" x 9.25".
